James, a servant of God and the Lord Jesus Christ!-

Do You Want To Be Blessed In What You Do?

"22Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. 23Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror 24and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it--he will be blessed in what he does."

There it is, you just read it didn't you. The person who learns be a doer of the will of God and doesn't forget, but is faithful, this is a person who is blessed in what he does. So often we forget who we are don't we? We are the ambassadors for the Lord, here on this earth. God likes to bless His people and does. As a parent I can tell you that I do not give my child rewards for bad behavior, that's a no-brainer isn't it. Who would reward a child for getting into mischief and not obeying his parents? Do you think God is any different? If you think that you can ignore Him and just stay as you are, a person who doesn't want to turn from his sin, don't expect your Heavenly Father to bless you! In fact, you might expect a spanking for your lack of obedience.

Don't simply be a hearer of the Word, be a doer and be blessed! There you have it, the key to being blessed in what you do.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."  Jeremiah 29:11
