Daily Proverb - Proverbs, Chapter 20

"Who can say, "I have kept my heart pure; I am clean and without sin?"."

Great question isn't it.  Can you say my heart is pure?  The more I learn about God, the better I understand how sinful I truly am.  This verse reminds me of a verse I heard win I became a Christian, Romans chapter 3 and verse 23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God".  The truth is, we all fall short because His glory is His pure heart! God has never made an error, not even just one!  Me, I have made so many that I am amazed that He still lets me breath.  This pure heart of God gives Him the grace to tolerate and love me, a sinful man. What a loving God I serve!

"Even a child is known by his actions, by whether his conduct is pure and right."

If everyone knew our actions, our shame would be displayed before the world to see, and we would be so embarrassed!  God knows our failures and weaknesses, and, He also  knows us, not only by our actions, but also our thoughts.  How well does God know you?

"The lamp of the Lord searches the spirit of man; it searches out his inmost being"

Yes, the Lord does have a lamp that shines on your inmost being.  He knows you and because he knows you,  He knows you need a Savior to wash away your sin, and someday you will have a pure heart.  How did God accomplish this?
